Purpose: Although digitalisation is vastly represented in healthcare, currently there is no specific software associated with creation of e-files of patients in ophthalmology. The purpose of this project is the development of specialized ophthalmological interface combining patient’s database and machine examinations in e-files. Such a complicated software requires integration of ophthalmology imaging systems, state examinations, surgical documentation and treatment planning. Materials and methods: A specialized software called Danny Platform was developed. Danny Platform organizes all the results stored into the hospital’s database as well as it integrates them with patient’s examinations and the entire information is easily accessible in front of desktops with a single mouse click. Currently the system is completely synchronized for patients with age related macular degeneration. Conclusion: A platform helping ophthalmologist in everyday practice combining both out-patient and surgical documentation was developed. Combining all the data future large scale analyses are to be expected.
