Rejuvenation of the periocular area is a challenge that requires a wide range of knowledge of the anatomy of the periorbital area, practical experience and skills to deal with complications. Each surgical method, injectable or non-injectable, has advantages and disadvantages, which is why individual refinement of their application is necessary for each individual patient. Complications in this area are often mild, such as edema or hemorrhage, but can also be severe, associated with tissue loss in necrosis, or extremely severe, associated with irreversible vision loss and blindness.
Key words: Periorbital area, blepharoplasty, filler, neuromodulation, polynucleotides, mesenchymal stem cells, ablative laser, microneedling
