The experience of Acibadem City Clinic Vitosha Hospital
Kelchev, А.
Tricuspid regurgitation is increasingly recognized as a major clinical entity requiring a shift from the historically conservative management strategy. Current evidence supports earlier identification of the disease and timely referral to specialized centers before advanced right ventricular dysfunction and systemic complications develop.
Contemporary patient assessment relies on the integration of clinical findings, multimodality imaging, and careful procedural risk evaluation. The multidisciplinary Heart Team approach plays a central role in selecting the most appropriate individualized strategy, whether surgical or transcatheter, according to anatomical suitability and overall patient condition.
The experience of Acibadem City Clinic Hospital Vitosha highlights the role of minimally invasive and endoscopic tricuspid surgery as an effective treatment option in selected patients, including high-risk and redo cases.
