The main epidemiological clinical, and histological aspects of genital warts – condyloma acuminatum and bauenoid papulosis (BP) are present. The role of HPV 6,11 as the most common etiological agent of condyloma acuminatum is emphasized. HPV is detected in 30-70 % of penile carcinoma cases. In about 10% of cases 16, 18, 31 types which are at high risk for malignancy, mainly in the direction of cervical carcinoma. The 3 clinical types, the histological picture and the methods of treatment are examined. BP very rarely progress to squamous cell carcinoma. The prognosis of BP is more favorable than that of condyloma acuminatum.
