The current definition defines psoriasis as a T-mediated inflammatory disease with a chronically recurrent course. Along with the skin changes, the possibility of affecting internal organs and systems is taken into consideration. During the evolutionary course, and especially in severe clinical forms, there is an increase in the frequency of joint impairment, metabolic syndrome, impairment of liver and intestinal function. Long-term monitoring of patients should be carried out in conjunction with relevant medical professionals.
