The expert center for pemphigus in Bulgaria operates at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology, University Hospital „Alexandrovska“, Sofia. The center started its activities in 2025 under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kossara Drenovska. It was created with the aim of providing comprehensive, highly specialized and contemporary medical care for patients suffering from this rare autoimmune disease. Its establishment is a step towards bringing the treatment of Bulgarian patients into line with European standards, approved by the European Reference Networks (ERNs).
