Neuromyelitis optica is a rare autoimmune demyelinating disease of the central nervous system. Cognitive impairments, depression and fatigue are ones of the most-neglected but important symptoms of the disease. Early development, prophylaxis and management of cognitive deficits are of critical importance for the patient’s quality of life.
