Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has presented humanity with unprecedented health, social, economic and political challenges. For medical specialists, the obstacles are mainly related to the high contagious index of the infection and the frequency of complications – pneumonia, respiratory failure, thrombosis, etc.
Objective: This review aims to analyze the available data on the frequency of venous and arterial thrombosis, their prevention and treatment.
Conclusion: Currently, the data support the use of anticoagulants only in hospitalized patients for COVID-19.
