The normal functioning of various organs and systems is essential for cardiovascular health. Disorders of the endocrine system, rheumatological diseases and several other congenital and/or acquired conditions adversely affect the cardiovascular system. Early detection of cardiovascular involvement in such pathological disorders is of key importance for timely treatment and the prognosis of the patients. In this article, we examine the impact of various diseases and conditions on cardiac structure and function.
