Cardiometabolic medicine is an emerging subspecialty that focuses on the intersection of cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, and hypertension. These conditions often coexist and share common risk factors, including sedentary lifestyles, poor diet, and genetic predisposition. The significance of cardiometabolic medicine lies in its comprehensive approach to managing these interconnected diseases. Traditional care models often treat cardiovascular and metabolic conditions separately, leading to fragmented care and suboptimal outcomes. Cardiometabolic medicine aims to integrate care, emphasizing prevention, early detection, and holistic treatment strategies. This field also addresses the growing global burden of cardiometabolic diseases, which are leading causes of morbidity and mortality worldwide. By focusing on lifestyle interventions, pharmacological advancements, and interdisciplinary collaboration, cardiometabolic medicine seeks to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs.

Key words: cardiometabolic medicine, cardiorenal-metabolic syndrome, cardiometabolic medications
