DIK is an acquired condition characterized by intravascular activation of the coagulation cascade. Result of microvascular endothelial damage, leading to multiorgan failure.
The publication presents a clinical case of a 28-year-old patient with DIK syndrome and a protocol for behavior in postpartum hemorrhage, based on a comprehensive clinical study and literature review, inspired by a series of clinical cases at PSAGBAL “St. Sofia”.
