Sarcoma Kaposi (SK) is an angioproliferative malignancy associated with human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8) infection. It often arises in immunocompromised patients, including HIV-positive individuals. The localization of SK in the genital area is uncommon and requires increased attention due to its potential aggressive course and complications. Cornu cutaneum is a hyperkeratotic lesion occurring on benign, precancerous, or malignant skin changes with a rare localization in the penile area, where it may be a sign of an underlying malignant process, often squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). The association of SK with CC is also an extremely rare phenomenon, with only two of the described cases revealing also an underlying SCC.
Key words: sarcoma Kaposi, cornu cutaneum, squamous cell carcinoma
