Cardio-oncology or oncocardiology is an interdisciplinary field that requires the assessment of two main cardiac problems – thrombogenic risk and cardiotoxicity – in every cancer patient. While a reflex has already been created between oncologists and cardiologists for the second, the thrombogenic risk is in most cases discussed when a real clinically manifested thrombosis occurs. Therefore, it is important to have a mindset in every oncological patient to evaluate the thrombogenic risk in the course of oncological treatment.
