Minimally invasive aortic valve replacement is a contemporary surgical method that is increasingly used as an alternative to full sternotomy in aortic valve surgery. It has been shown to reduce the postoperative morbidity and mortality, providing faster recovery and rehabilitation, shorter hospital stay and better cosmetic results compared to conventional surgery. In the last few years, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement has established itself as a safe, well-tolerated, and effective surgical treatment option.
Key words: Aortic valve, minimally invasive aortic valve replacement, aortic stenosis, partial sternotomy, right minithoracotomy
