Issue 1/2024
Todorov, O., Tarein, M.
The article presents a model of application of an established comprehensive medical-psychological approach to the diagnosis and treatment of anxiety and panic disorders. The conceptual and clinical rationale for implementing such an approach in a multidisciplinary medical institution is outlined due to the specificity of these disorders, which have complex aetiologies and share multiple symptoms with a number of other somatic conditions. This article presents the structure and clinical sequences of interventions that lead to a reliable diagnosis and offer a safe means of alleviating the symptoms of one of the most common and most frequently mistreated health problems.
