Glaucoma in childhood is considered a rare eye pathology, but glaucoma it is an actual medical and social problem. When early diagnosis and appropriate treatment are delayed, the disease leads to irreversible, severe and definitive vision impairment, to blindness.
The article presents information on the features and causes of childhood glaucoma and its most common clinical forms, with an emphasis on early diagnosis.
