Choroidal metastases are the most common intraocular malignant tumors in adults and are often associated with exudative retinal detachment. We present two clinical cases of patients with a history of breast and lung carcinoma, in whom the ophthalmological manifestation of the systemic disease was exudative retinal detachment. The diagnosis was made by a multimodal ophthalmological approach and additional imaging studies to assess systemic involvement. In both patients, complete resorption of the subretinal fluid was observed after systemic therapy, without the need of ocular treatment. The presented cases emphasize the importance of early ophthalmological recognition of choroidal metastases and the effectiveness of systemic therapy in controlling the ocular manifestations of malignant diseases.
