In recent years, the number of road traffic accidents in our country has increased due to high speeds, alcohol and drug use, lack of driving skills, driver overconfidence, poor road infrastructure, and other factors.
Despite the presence of technical safety features such as airbags designed to prevent traumatic injuries to passengers, these devices may help prevent fatalities, but unfortunately, they do not fully protect against severe combined injuries to the head and eyes.
Such injuries are typically characterized by damage to the facial bones, including the orbital area, lacerated-contused wounds on the facial and scalp skin, involvement of the paranasal sinuses, the brain, and often the eyeball and its associated structures.
