Nosebleeds are not a separate, independent disease. It is a symptom of a local or general, systemic disease. The prognosis is usually good. But there are also profuse nosebleeds that are life-threatening and difficult to control. A nosebleed is an emergency. A greater frequency is observed in patients aged 60-70 years, but there is also a peak of cases in childhood.
