Bronchial asthm2a is a global health problem. It is a heterogeneous disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract. Diagnosing asthma can be challenging because, outside of an attack, ventilatory parameters and auscultatory findings may be normal. This review presents steps for making the diagnosis of asthma proposed in the latest revision of the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA) 2024 document.
