We present a clinical case of a 71-year-old patient with a total replacement of the right knee(ТKR).The patient was followed for 6 months, during which he underwent rehabilitation in hospital and outpatient conditions. The rehabilitation program consisted of electrotherapy (deep oscillation) and kinesiotherapy (analytical gymnastics, treatment with kinesio taping tapes and mechanotherapy). Function and pain were assessed by manual muscle test (MMT), ROM, VAS score, Arthrosis Index /WOMAC/ (Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Arthritis Index). From the studies carried out, a significant improvement has been found in terms of reducing pain symptoms and oedema, the range of motion in the joint and muscle strength, influencing muscle hypotrophy, and improving the activities of daily life. . The presented short message gives a look at the current treatment options for patients after knee arthroplasty in the context of clinical practice.
Key words: knee arthroplasty, rehabilitation
