Diabetes mellitus and diabetic retinopathy are among diseases of social importance of modernity. In time diagnostics and prophylaxis are of major importance for good quality of life and active work.
Modern diagnostics of diabetic retinopathy gives data for discrete changes in retina earlier than any subjective complaints of the patient. Full diagnostics consists of fundoscopy, fluoresceine angiography, optical coherence tomography and newest noninvasive method – optical coherence tomography angiography.
