The cutaneous lymphomas consist approximately 3,9% of all non-Hogkin lymphomas, with Mycosis fungoides (MF) accounting for most of the cases. Since1973, the frequency MF is on the rise. For centuries, syphilis is been referred to as “The Great Imitator”, since the secondary syphilis may imitate most of the popular inflammatory dermatoses. Less know is that MF and rest of the skin lymphomas in their early stages may resemble clinically a wide range of inflammatory dermatoses such as atopic dermatitis, pityriais lichenoides chronica, dermatitis superficialis, etc. The diagnosis of early MF is challenging, and the early referral to a qualified dermatologist is essential for the management of the patient.
