Alexandrov, N., Sivkova, N.
Department of Eye Diseases, MU – Plovdiv

Myopia (nearsightedness) is a growing global problem that leads to blurred distance vision and an increased risk of serious eye diseases. Management includes optical devices (DIMS dioptric lenses, multifocal soft contact lenses), pharmacological interventions (atropine drops), and lifestyle changes (more time outdoors, visual hygiene, good reading habits). Early diagnosis and regular monitoring are key to slowing progression and preventing complications.
