Todorova, М., ophthalmologist

Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a major medical problem worldwide. Patients with diabetes often develop ophthalmic complications, such as corneal abnormalities, glaucoma, iris neovascularization, cataracts, retinopathies, and neuropathies. The most common and potentially the highest risk for blindness is diabetic retinopathy (6, 7, 8). Diabetic retinopathy can be treated with pharmacologic therapy, glucose control, panretinal photocoagulation, vitrectomy, and cryotherapy. From all the scientific facts about diabetes mellitus and its accompanying ophthalmic complications, it is clear that there is a lack of effective and safe prevention of the above complications, as well as a pharmacological treatment for the initial stages of DR. Usually, natural products provide a solution, but they still have to meet certain requirements. A suitable natural product would be one that provides a comprehensive effect at the vessel level – elasticity, endothelial function, rheology and inflammation; maintains the integrity of the subretinal space and provides powerful antioxidant protection. From my clinical experience, natural products Entan VGcaps and Ocolut Combi VGcaps meet these requirements.
