Another challenge in a pandemic is the eye disease myopia (nearsightedness). It is a refractive error in which there is a stronger refractive power of the optical ocular media and / or a larger anterior-posterior bulb size. As a result, the image does not fall on the retina, but in front of it. The vision of a short-sighted person can be improved by prescribing optical correction (glasses and contact lenses), by refractive surgery after 18-20 years of age, as well as by other surgical methods, such as those used in complications of high myopia. But it is much more important to prevent the development of myopia. To this end, the development of new technologies greatly helps. An example in this regard is the revolutionary device OCULUS MYOPIA MASTER, which can determine the possible progression of myopia and which provides possible solutions to prevent this process.
