Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common and socially significant chronic respiratory conditi on with high impact on the patient’s health status, accompanied by high rate of hospital admissions and mortality. Understanding it in detail leads to significant improvements in patients’ symptoms, quality of life and life expectancy. In this article we will review the current diagnostic and treatment recommendations presented in GOLD 2024.
