Bronchial hyperreactivity (BHR) exhibits with an increased tendency to reflex bronchoconstriction, provoked by various non-specific (cold air, physical exercise, pharmacological agents) and specific factors (inhaled allergens, irritants, chemicals). The knowledge of the pathophysiological mechanisms of BHR, its causality, methods of treatment and prevention are а key for improving the health of workers with noxious occupational factors and their working capacity.
