On March 12, 2020, the WHO declared a pandemic due to the increasing number of affected countries and deaths from COVID-19. Children of all ages are susceptible to COVID-19. Clinical manifestations are less severe than those observed in adults It is difficult to determine exactly how many children have had Coronavirus. From 4.4 to 23% of cases in children are asymptomatic. Limited social interaction during the COVID-19 pandemic led to an impressive decrease in the number of common childhood infectious diseases. Long-term health consequences can occur weeks and even months( even years( after infection with COVID-19. About 6% of children suffer from severe illness and life-threatening conditions, often with a history of congenital or acquired disease or are under 1 year of age. .Signs of „post-COVID“ appear during or after infection and persist for more than 12 weeks. Clinical studies and meta-analyses show that children with certain comorbid diseases are at increased risk of severe COVID-19.
