Mycotic vulvovaginitis (MVV) is a common diagnosis in gynecological practice. The most common causative agent is the fungus Candida albicans (1). Diabetes, pregnancy, etc. are one of the most important risk factors for the development of vulvovaginal candidiasis (VVC). The vaginal microbiome and immunity are important aspects in the predisposition to VVC. For maximum therapeutic effect, a topical antifungal and products for the total restoration of the vaginal microbiome and immunity should be applied. Gyno Pevaryl, Lactobor Intim vaginal gel and Lactobor caps are a successful combination. My personal experience with this combination gives a high success rate in both the 10-day control and no relapse in the 6-month follow-up.
Key words: mycotic vulvovaginitis, diabetes, pregnancy, vaginal microbiome, vaginal immunity, Lactobor, Gyno Pevaryl
