Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most common reproductive endocrine disorders in women. Vitamin D deficiency is common in this condition. The degree of vitamin D deficiency correlates with the severity of PCOS. Vitamin D levels in both women and men affect fertility and the success of assisted reproduction. Both vitamin D deficiency and PCOS increase pregnancy-related complications, and optimizing vitamin D levels reduces the risk of both maternal and fetal complications and adverse events.
Key words: PCOS, vitamin D, deficiency, fertility
