At the same time, it puts Bulgarian healthcare on the map of healthcare systems that consider the illness of a human being not just as economic entities, but adequately respond to their needs. The purpose of the authors is to introduce the audience to the work and empirical experience of the team of the National Center for Psychosomatics aimed at investigating the relationship between psychosomatic diseases and the constructs of mental functioning.
