Ophthalmological problems and prevention strategies in Covid-19 pandemic

The Covid-19 outbreak that affected the whole world caused significant changes in personal, social and professional life of global population. The most important impact accured in activities associated with continues and immediate contact with persons like in diagnostics and treatment in medicine. In such difficult conditions work most physicians nurses and personal especially, in the field requiring closure approach, like ophthalmology and otorhinolaryngology. The impact of the pandemic in ophthalmology broad to various direct and indirect consequences: worsening of chronic conditions, visual compliance (associated with excessive burden of accommodation), problems of training of residents. In many publications the options for comprehensive eye exam were discussed, considering the requirements for prevention on infection diseases. The role for avoiding contaminations with recommendation for wearing glasses (corrective of preventive) was emphasized.
